Overcoming Errors in Thinking Parts I, II, III Research shows that most people who are released from jails and prisons have the most problems in the first year. Those problems are mainly in three areas:

(1) the pressure of not finding or not keeping a job
(2) personal conflicts with family and others
(3) the temptation, or actual use, of alcohol or other drugs

This series looks at the problems we have created for ourselves throughout our lives, and that we face immediately upon release.

Stage II Recovery Series is comprised of four parts. The basics of recovery; what we must do to understand ourselves in order to enjoy a rich and fulfilling existence. Identify and correct learned self-defeating behaviors such as care-taking, people-pleasing and workaholism. Teaches dynamics of healthy/unhealthy relationships. Working a Program: Teaches a consistent program that involves dialogue, positive redirection, proper nutrition and daily/weekly practices.

Part 6: Criminogenic Needs Domains: Community Functioning Knowledge and necessary skills for daily living; it includes residence, health, personal budgeting, leisure activities and the use of social services Gregariousness

Part 4: Criminogenic Needs Domains:  Association/Social Interaction Non-criminal associates and the opportunity for positive interaction Friendship

Part 7: Criminogenic Needs Domains:  Personal/Emotional Orientation Control of one’s life; it includes decision-making, coping with stress, and mental health Cooperation

Part 5:  Criminogenic Needs Domains: Substance Abuse Living without reliance on alcohol and/or drugs Intimacy
