Breaking The Chains Series

Three African-American men, Abu, David and Abdul share a powerful story of transformation and renewal. Each man tells of his own journey from adolescent insecurities and experimentation with substances, into the inevitable escalation into self-destructive behaviors, criminal activity and addiction.

The first person voice and the truthful self-disclosure in the film inspire the viewer to engage in personal introspection. The three men speak freely, with no mediator. Just as the viewer can relate to the self-destructive behaviors that the men share, they can also look to the men for hope, as they share about their road to recovery, and subsequent personal and professional success.
